ABOUT KRISTIN

Kristin Lindblad works at the intersection of philanthropy, activism, communications, and international relations, devoting herself to cultural and environmental protection on a global scale.

For two decades she has immersed herself in nonprofit consulting, leadership, and development, assisting executive management in envisioning and implementing awareness strategies, fundraising campaigns, and partnership projects. Foundational expertise in public relations, branding, event planning, and marketing supercharges the reach of every project she champions. Kristin’s track record of high-impact changemaking in the nonprofit, hospitality, real estate, finance, retail, wellness, and technology sectors affords her a unique capacity to collaborate across industries.

Empowered by her education at the Woodrow Wilson School of Government and Foreign Affairs at University of Virginia and Wharton’s Undergraduate School of Business at University of Pennsylvania, Kristin is a perpetual student and diplomat of our shared planet. With the savvy of a scientist, the acumen of an entrepreneur, the spirit of an artist, and the drive of an activist-explorer, Kristin travels the planet to document and share meaningful stories about the earth and its cultures. As a bilingual journalist, photographer, and writer, she has published work in outlets from Scientific American to Newsweek to Virgin.

Kristin serves as ambassador and adviser to Oceanic Global, Beneath the Waves, WildAid, Ocean Unite, the Reefline of Blue Lab Preservation Society, PangeaSeed Foundation, and Cultural Sanctuaries Foundation. She also runs the Wanderlust Fund with her husband, Sven Lindblad of Lindblad Expeditions. Wanderlust provides critical funding to organizations dedicated to cultural and environmental protection, global relief efforts, children, and the arts.

In 2018, Kristin launched OCEANSCAPES, an artivism platform inspired by years of collaborative ocean exploration and experiential insight. Combining art with storytelling and science, OCEANSCAPES reveals the power of beauty to inspire both empathy and action.

Kristin Lindblad Philanthropy is an evolution of these passions, supporting motivated high-wealth individuals, families, and organizations in bringing new visions of humanitarian work to life. Kristin’s work builds initiatives for a better world today and for generations to come, raising awareness for critical causes, implementing high level analysis and funding, and making connections to amplify impact.

Based between Maui and Charleston and often traveling the world, Kristin is always eager for the next exhilarating adventure and project. She is an avid scuba diver, kite surfer, and open ocean swimmer, and practices yoga and meditation daily. Get in touch.
